Empowering women to take control of their health and intimate lives has been the driving force behind my work for years.
As a urologist, educator, and speaker, I’ve dedicated myself to breaking down barriers and dispelling myths that prevent women from living their best lives. However, in today’s digital landscape, sharing information on platforms like Instagram can be challenging, especially when it comes to topics like sexual health and empowerment. Content related to these subjects is often blocked or flagged, limiting our ability to reach and educate those who need it most.
That’s why I decided to write a book.
Writing a book provides a safe, unrestricted platform to share the knowledge, insights, and tools that women need to reclaim their health and intimate lives. It allows me to dive deep into the issues that matter without the fear of censorship or the limitations imposed by social media algorithms. The content isn’t filtered, edited, or hidden; it’s presented in its entirety, giving readers access to the full spectrum of information that can truly empower them. In addition, they can read at their own pace and even share the book with their partner (who didn’t get a special class in women’s sexual function, so Lawd knows they need this info, too).
In this book, I aim to demystify the intricacies of women’s health and intimacy, covering everything from hormones and sexual desire to the psychological aspects of well-being and how we were raised. It’s not just about providing facts; it’s about fostering understanding, encouraging self-compassion, and inspiring action. When women are equipped with the right knowledge, they can make informed decisions, take control of their bodies, and live more fulfilling lives.
Another reason for writing this book is the permanence it offers. Unlike a social media post that can be easily lost in the noise or removed, a book stands the test of time. It’s a resource that women can return to again and again as they navigate different stages of life. It’s a personal guide that they can keep on their bedside table, revisit when questions arise, and share with others who might benefit from it. You might learn something from a social media post, but then it is lost or buried and hard to reference again easily.
Instagram and other platforms have their place, and I will continue to use them to spread awareness and education (I actually really love IG and the community I built there). But a book is the perfect medium for the in-depth, uncensored, and comprehensive exploration of women’s health and intimacy. My hope is that this book will reach women far and wide, offering them the empowerment they deserve—no algorithms, no censorship, just the truth.
Because when women are empowered with knowledge, they are unstoppable.
Place your order here. Thank you!
